CONSERVATION SPECIALIST(S)
Steward Link® is looking for two conservation specialists to assist in the creation, maintenance, and processing of conservation plans. Typical work will include working with maps, excel, forms, and helping to develop and implement innovative technology solutions to accomplish these tasks in the most efficient manner.
As a Conservation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that new land managers are given the proper attention. You will analyze properties and work with land owners and Steward Link® consultants to complete the correct forms and help ensure clean communications with county field office contacts across the country are completed in a timely fashion.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Client onboarding: Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for our clients.
- Work with land owners to determine best conservation practices.
- Design, and document conservation plans for land managers.
- Create and evaluate applications with a high focus on efficiencies and customer solutions.
- Work with in-house operations to assist with the development of short and long-term in-house processes.
- Foster strong relationships with selected partners, consultants, and retailers’ country-wide.
- Maintain neat and organized data for a wide number of Conservation plans.
- Ensure clients adhere to USDA compliance.
- Communicate with land owners in a positive interpersonal manner.
- Help to ensure timely and accurate billing processes.
- Prepare reports.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to commute and/or relocate to the Greater Greenwood or Grenada area.
- Ability to remain positive under pressured or stressful situations.
- Must be proficient in Excel; extra proficiencies in managing large sets of data are preferred but not required.
- Proven experience developing and implementing onboarding and offboarding.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools, software, frameworks.
- A student or hands-on background in Agronomy, Forestry, or Wildlife Biology is highly preferred but not required.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
